To export as PDF, click the "Print / Save as PDF" button in the sidebar or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on Mac). In the print dialog, select "Save as PDF" as the destination. NotebookGen automatically formats the output for print, so your pages will appear exactly as they do in the preview — with proper page sizes, margins, and handwriting effects.

For image export, use the "Download as Image" button to save each page as a high-resolution PNG file.

Currently, NotebookGen offers 15+ handwriting fonts curated from Google Fonts, including Kalam, Caveat, Indie Flower, Dancing Script, Permanent Marker, Patrick Hand, Homemade Apple, and more. These cover a wide range of handwriting styles from casual to formal.

Custom font upload is not yet supported, but we're exploring adding this in a future update.

If text appears cut off, it's usually because the content exceeds the available page height. NotebookGen has an intelligent pagination system that splits content across pages automatically. Try these fixes:

  • Click "Generate" again to re-render and re-paginate
  • Adjust your bottom margin to allow more space
  • Check that your page size is set correctly (e.g., A4 vs A5)
  • Reduce font size if your content is very dense

Yes! NotebookGen is and will remain completely free. There are no premium tiers, no watermarks, no page limits, and no hidden charges. Every feature — including PDF export, drawing tools, image insertion, ink effects, and multi-page pagination — is available to all users at no cost.
